Stupid Weather - Prayer Request

Tomorrow is my 40th birthday (YIKES) so DH and I planned a trip up to NYC (from MD) to see Wicked on Broadway.  We are supposed to go by Megabus.  I already bought the show tickets.  NYC is supposed to get up to a foot of snow between tonight and tomorrow and I am so afraid that we are not going to make it and that we'll lose the money we spent on the tickets (which weren't cheap!).

So I've been praying all morning that the snow will not really materialize or that it won't be as bad as they've been saying.  I really want to be able to go and feel safe on the roads on the way there and back.  If you can, please say a prayer.  Thanks ladies!!

Yep, definitely praying for you to have a safe journey!

I saw Wicked in Chicago ... it is AMAZING.  It came to a theater near me last year and I just knew seeing it locally wouldn't top the stage in Chicago that was basically built around the set of Wicked.  You will love it!!!

Thank you all.  I am still hoping for the best.  We're watching The Wizard of Oz right now to prepare.  DH has NEVER seen it!

Let us know!  I live very close to you (I'm in DC), and the weather doesn't seem too bad this evening.  A bunch of major streets look cleared.

The bus line canceled the buses to NY.  I found out last night and spent a lot of time crying.  I'm just so upset to lose almost $200 on show tickets and it was a real disappointment because of how much I've been looking forward to it.  DH felt so bad last night and offered to drive there but I just think it would be so stressful plus it would be 8 hours of driving today just for the 2 hour show.  We're going to go to a really nice restaurant here for lunch today and maybe see a movie.  I'm going to try calling the theater but I'm pretty sure that they won't do anything and the tickets will go to waste.  :-(

    Thank you for the prayers.

    Oh NOOO!

Sometimes theaters work with patrons when there is inclement weather... sometimes, though, they can be real sticklers about 'you weren't here, too bad' and for that I really dislike them!  Hoping you can get to see it with your DH.... :-)
