What is the craziest wedding question/commentary you have heard?

My wacky commentary took place today and I had to share.  While I was at a lunch meeting eating a chicken sandwich that came with fries, a co-worker of mine asked me when my wedding date was.  I proceed to tell her and she then responds with, "Oh, I was wondering because what you are eating, you know the fries and such."  She then says, "Well I guess you still have some time, you should be ok."  I pause thinking that I misunderstood what she was implying but then she proceeds to ask me if I already bought my dress.  When I told her that I had, she gives me this uh-oh kind of look.  Now, I may be reading too much into this, but I am pretty sure she was implying that I should put the sandwich down! 

Good thing that I found this all quite comical, but really chica, what made you think that was cool to say to someone?!!  Just when you think you have heard it all! LOL

Ladies, got any stories that made you shake your head?  I'd love to hear them! :)

    I know!  It took me a moment to register what she was saying because I was fully expecting a conversation about how the planning was going.

    I would have replied that you love the way you look right now and don't feel the need to make yourself look like someone else (or an anorexic version of yourself) for your wedding day. And of course mention that your God-given metabolism of steel allows you to eat whatever you want, but you pity folks like herself who can't. ;)

    I love how people automatically assume that if you are getting married you are on a crash diet...I mean seriously?
    I think it's all thanks to those awesome "movies"...Ie "you don't change vera to fit you...you change you to fit vera!"
    I would have probably stared at her in disbelief...and then told her my dress is actually too big so I'm eating a lot to fit in to it...and then laughed. :P

    HOly crap. I think I would've responded with something equally obnoxious like.... Oh don't worry. I eat whatever I want all the time and I actually have been losing weight!  I've never had to watch my diet. Sometimes I have two pieces of chocolate cake at ten o clock at night! I just have a great metabolism I guess!
