  • I'm having my wedding June 2, 2012. The ceremony will start at 2:00. It will be a traditional Catholic ceremony which will last about an hour. We will  be done with the ceremony around 3. We have a large time gap between the end of the ceremony and the reception. Our reception will not start until 7:00. However it will give us tons of time for pictures and to maybe hit up a bar or a drink with our bridal party.

As far as planning....We have booked the church and the reception site. After the first of the year we will really start buying things such as invitations and putting them away. And booking a hall for the wedding shower.

  • I'm your potential TWIN! I am planning a backyard wedding. My parents got married in their backyard so we are going to do the same. I haven't decided where to have the reception yet...either the local country club or a huge white tent in our backyard. Our wedding will probably be about 5:30 pm with the reception starting at 6:30 or 7 pm.

  • I'm a 6/2/12 bride! We booked the hotel for the reception (cocktails start at 6), but we're still on the hunt for a church. It'll probably be on hold until after the holidays though.

  • I'm a June 2, 2012 bride as well :) We have actually decided to do a destination wedding with close friends and family. Due to tha fact that I was in a sorority and he was in a fraternity it would get super huge super fast. But we are going to have the ceremony on the beach around 5pm with the reception immediately following by the pool and boardwalk.

  • We just decided that we wanted a church wedding on a Saturday. Our church told us because of Saturday mass the latest our ceremony can start is 2. By the time we get done with the ceremony and pictures it will be 4. The guests will come to the ceremony. Most people understand that if a wedding is on a saturday there is Saturday mass and they aren't going to cancel Saturday mass for a wedding. Believe me people will come. And if they dont it is on them.

We are booking a block of rooms at a local hotel and we will get like a room for hospitality. And we are going to put drinks and snacks there and letting our guests know.

  • We just booked 6/2/12 as our date last weekend!Orginally  it wasnt our first choice, but i'm glad we switched !
  • I am having my wedding in June 2nd, 2012. So far we have the ceremony site and reception hall booked. We decided we are going to do pictures before the ceremony starts so people don't have to wait so long in between, and we don't feel like we have to rush. We are thinking the ceremony will start at around 3:30- 4:00 and then cocktail hour starts at 5:00.
  • I'm a potential June 2nd bride.  :)

Our first choice vineyard is $1000 less on a Friday, so we might opt for a Friday afternoon/evening wedding.

We haven't spoken to our first choice inn yet.

I'm really debating Friday vs. Saturday.  Friday would allow my family (the only out of town guests) to explore a little bit before leaving on Sunday.  It would also let me see them for more than a few hours!
