Ladies, how I am functioning today is nothing short of a miracle. I got back from Vegas this morning at 4am and am sitting here at my desk at work and may actually die. BUT IT WAS SO WORTH IT!
Here's the long story:
I went to San Diego first to meet up with a friend of mine who just moved there. We had fantastic food and hung out and shopped and just relaxed. I totally needed it. The weather was kind of cold (like, mid-60s and not sunny at all!) so only spent a little bit of time at the beach. Unfortunately, it was enough for me to get a nasty sunburn

We went to dinner at this AMAZING restaurant called Brooklyn Girl and then went over to my friend's friend's apartment. It was absolutely stunning and we had a lot of fun. Here's the only photo I have so far from the trip (I'm on the left and especially shiny, but whatever):

THEN: Driving to Vegas in the middle of the desert in my friend's BMW convertible = totally burned head. But it was so much fun and we had a great time road tripping.

Seriously - America is so beautiful.
Once in Vegas on Friday, we went and got dinner at Central and then went to Hyde where we had a hookup for 2 bottles of free champagne. We only stayed there to finish the champagne and watch the fountain at the Bellagio, then left to go to the Cosmo.
At the Cosmo, we skipped the line at Marquee - SO. MUCH. FUN. My friend's husband works in the industry so we got in immediately, but we didn't get bottle service that night. Instead, we made friends with these Australian guys who had a fantastic table, and they just gave us alcohol all night. So, we kind of ended up having a table anyway and we didn't have to pay for it! The music was awesome, and we danced so much! Afterwards, at like 4am, we ended up at one of the bars called Chandelier (no clue why we were STILL DRINKING) and passed out at some point around 6am when we got back to our room.
The next day, we went to a pool party at the Cosmo. My friend Laurie's good friend from her cheerleading days is the Pool Manager there, so we got everything except the drinks for free. We started at Marquee Dayclub, but we wanted something a little more low-key, so she sectioned off an area for us with a pool bed and chairs at Boulevard. We ended up hanging out and drinking all day and dancing around like lunatics and talking to a bunch of (totally harmless) guys. It was so great.
Saturday night we went to 1Oak. My friend's husband again hooked us up and we got 3 bottles of vodka, tons of shots, and a massive banquette next to the dancefloor for $1000 total (which isn't too bad split between 8 of us). We stayed till 445am and then went to check out the view of the strip from these guys' massive suite at the Cosmo that had a wraparound balcony. We took some awesome pictures, which I'll post when I upload them. I didn't get to bed until almost 7am.
Sidenote: I made the mistake of telling fiance we went to a group of guys' suite and he was not too pleased, but they were like 25 years old and all in relationships and it was the least skeezy thing ever, so I wasn't concerned. Probably not the smartest idea in retrospect, but they were really nice guys and totally harmless.
Anyway, Sunday morning we were all struggling but we went to brunch and got bloody marys and then all headed home.
All in all, SO AWESOME but I am dying today. hahaha

I will PIP when I have uploaded my photos
