AHR site - Appleton or Fox Cities area

Hi All -

We are doing a Destination Wedding in Mexico, but many of our friends and family won't be able to join us so we will be throwing a party in the Fox Cities area a few weeks after the wedding.

I'm not from WI but FI is.  So I'm struggling with finding a venue (he's not much help in this area).  Any thoughts?

I'm looking for casual - BBQ or Pub style food.   (Oh and it would be the early August timeframe)

Appreciate your help!

How many guests would be attending? I am from this area and have been my whole life. My fiance and I will be getting married in Medina with a reception in Appleton in June. If you are looking for a non-traditional "pub" style place and you say and you don't have too many guests, look into the Stone Cellar Brew Pub. They have a seperate room for such events which can seat up to 50 people. Let me know how many guests and I am sure I could come up with some more ideas for you. Good luck!

We are having our reception at Pullmans. They can seat up to 200 I believe and it is right on the water. They also have a great restaurant/bar area next door. We looked at a lot of places in the area and unfortunately mostly all of them have a $5000 food and drink minimum. I guess it also depends on how much you want to spend.

Thanks - we were in town this past weekend so I did a "drive around and look for places to research" thing...

Really wish the family had a big enough yard to have it but alas...
