my FI and I have decided to go to Iceland for our honeymoon!  yay!  we didn't want a beach and were looking to do some adventurey type things, so this seems perfect.  any one been and have recs or ideas?

    We're going in September.  We're staying in Reykjavik at a hotel called Room With a View.  It was recommended to me by a nestie on the travel board.  Each room is a small apartment, pretty cheap, and rated highly on Trip Advisor.  I sent an e-mail to the guy who does booking telling him it was our HM and they gave us a 15% discount, too.

    We're doing two big excursions.  On the second day, we're doing a 4x4 tour of volcanoes, waterfalls, etc. through Iceland Rovers (http://www.icelandrovers.is).  I think we're doing the Glacier Valley tour.  The third day, we're doing a tour through Dive IS (http://www.dive.is) of Thingvellir National Park to Gulfoss Falls and the geysirs, then we're snorkeling in Silfra - which is the divide between the North American and European continents.  It looks amazing!

    Other things we'll probably do are horseback riding and the Blue Lagoon.  You can find a lot of information on tours through Reykjavik Excursions (http://www.re.is)
