Dress Shopping...?

So last week I put in for the 21st off work, which is a Saturday, so I could go dress shopping. I haven't had any trouble getting any days off yet, so I made an appointment as well. I waited all week last week to see if my day off got approved, but it was just sitting there, pending. Never have I hate the word pending as much as I have for the last week. My boss was working on the schedule for that week yesterday...She remembered that she was going out of town, and our Assistant Manager had also asked for that day off...So obviously I couldn't have the day off too. So Monday I'll be calling to reschedule my appointment, hopefully for the next week. I finall got around to making a dress appointment, only to be thwarted! Curses! Anyone else have issues with scheduling dress shopping?

That totally stinks! I hope you're able to get your next choice date off without any problems.

And I would totally let your Asst. Mgr. know that she messed up your dress shopping day. Lay it on thick and make her feel bad. lol

Definitely sucks about the vacation time being ruined. I hear ya on that - vaca is difficult to get off here as well, especially Saturdays. Do you have regular days off each week? Is a Saturday a must? When I went shopping on weekends, it could get pretty crazy, especially if I wasn't the first appointment (which I would recommend trying to get if possible). I normally have Mondays off, so I went a couple times to one shop on that day and had their full attention

So there are definitely trade-offs. Good luck to you getting it figured out!
