Timeline help

Hey ladies,

I need some help with my wedding day timeline. Our ceremony is at 3pm and cocktail at 7 (ceremony is in NYC, reception in totowa, on a sat the week after easter) I know it's a huge gap but with photos / travel / time for traffic it made the most sense (with the help of my photog)

What I need to know is how much time to allow for hair and makeup, family photos at my home, etc.

If you guys coul post yur sample timelines or let me know how much time you alotted for things it would really help!

Check with your hair and make-up people. Some require 30min per person others prefer to have 45min or an hour. My photog did portraits in about 15min he works fast but I was in a wedding and we were shooting for at least 45-60min at her house before we left for the church.

We started hair/makeup (8 girls) at 8:45 for a 3pm ceremony. I can send you my timeline if you PM me your email address.

I would say alot yourself 45mins for hair and 45mins for makeup per person. That way if someone needs to be touched up or if their hair is too loose you have time for error. As for how long for photos, I think it depends on how fast your photographer works and how many formals, group shot, etc you're doing. Ask your photographer about how much time he needs/wants.
