e-pic make up?

Did anyone get their makeup done for their E-pics? We are finally doing ours in a few weeks and I have been so busy with life that I feel like I have not even put any thought into them...what I want to wear, where we are going to do them, etc....  But now another thought came up about whether or not I should be getting my make up done or if I should just do it my self like I normally do it...

What did you do? I feel like I am over thinking this whole thing.... of course!

I just did my own make-up. Our photographer touched up every flaw so I didn't really see the need to get my make-up professionally done for them.

DItto PPs... I just did my own; all of our pictures were outside, and it was about 99% humidity that day.

I've heard other girls who schedule their hair and make-up trial the same day as e-pics.  Kind of killing two birds with one stone :)

I had mine done at MAC, and honestly, I feel like it was a waste of $50.  I wish I had just done it myself.

I know - FI was like well we should have waited to make that call afer the pictures. We were only looking for 1 good one for our STDs and we got it. So it wasnt the end of the world. We both are looking forward to our Wedding Pictures more.

I got my makeup done at MAC in Uptown, and it was worth every penny of the $50. I found out that morning that my dog was being put to sleep, so I'd been crying all day. I definitely needed a pro to make me look somewhat presentable after that!

Sarah Westman from MAC did mine. She said she also does makeup on the side (freelance), so if you liked her, she could do your wedding too. I probably would have hired her to do our wedding, but I'd already hired a hair/makeup person.

Also, I'm a huge perfectionist with my makeup, and Sarah made sure every.little.thing was to my liking. So although I felt glammed up for the pics, I still felt like "me."

I went to Macy's in ridgedale, went to the Clinique area, and they did my makeup. I told the lady I was having my e-pics that day, so she went overboard with what she was doing. It took an hour for her to finish. I had to wipe a bit off, but overall I think it was worth it. I wanted the dramatic eyes, and she delivered on that. Plus it was free!

Also agree on trying to get the trial the same day, same kind of thing!

I went to Nordstroms to the Smashbox counter and told her I was getting my engagement pics done that day and asked if she had any suggestions of make up i could / should use - she then did a complete makeover on me (for FREE!).
I went back a few weeks later with my friend who's doing my make up for the wedding to show her the line, and the gal working there sat me down and walked my friend through how to use their different products.
Smashbox is a great line too - all of their makeup is high defination for taking photos!

I booked my trial with Smart and Chic for right before our epics.  I found it especailly hoelpful because it also gave me a chance to see how it looked in pictures, instead of just my mirror!

I also went to MAC in Uptown! They did an amazing job (I still get comments months later on how amazing my make up was in my pictures) and they don't charge you $50, they just make you buy $50 worth of product. You're also able to return anything you aren't satisfied with/don't like, so if you end up buying something you ultimately don't want, just take it back later. I bought $80 worth of product the day they did my e-pic make-up and I ended up taking a few things back with no issues
