Stag N Doe

I couldn't find what board to put this on....

Anyways, my wedding is in February 2011. My in-laws are starting to plan the Stag N Doe since its going to be outside on their farm. 
I wanted to know how early we could have the Stag N Doe. 
We don't wanna do it in December because people are getting ready for Christmas. We didn't wanna do it in January because usually people are recovering from Christmas and don't have much money. 
Also we wanted to have it outside..(to save money on renting a hall)..so it would have to be before the snow comes. 

Do you think the end of September is to early?

    I think you should ask you local board.   I'v only heard of these types of parties from the knot and well quite frankly I think they are not appropriate. 

    That said, it sounds like they are in your social group and/or region.  Since this is an international board and other people are like me on the matter I think posting this in your local board would be a better option.






    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    This makes my head hurt.  Stag & Does are awful - even if it's a tradition in your area, you can and should decline a fundraiser for your wedding.  Yuk.  And double yuk for wanting to plan it when you think people have the most money to spare.
