  Hi there- I happen to live in the area.  There's a Best Western in Hazlet you can check out that's actually closer than the Holiday Inn.  Unfortunately around that area are some shady looking motels, but if you go a little north there's a Sheraton and some other hotels located near Raritan plaza.  There's also a Best Western in East Brunswick that's west of Addison Park.

  I had the same problem!  I booked the Hilton Woodbridge!  It's about a twenty minute drive, but I needed something further north rather than south because my Church is in South Orange.  I worked with Jaime, and she was great to work with and made the process very easy.  They are even giving me 10% off vouchers for brunch the next day!  A friend also used the hotel last year and had nothing but good things to say.
  
  PS: I heard a rumor that they are contemplating building a hotel at the Addison Park, but who knows when that will be complete!

  Thanks!   I did consider the Hilton in Woodbridge, but I am just torn with putting guests on a 20 minutes shuttle.  UGH!!!!!

  I had my guest stay at hthe best western and the suits were very nice. Front desk gave a discount to everyone who booked in by party. Its also close to The Addison. Maybe a ten min. drive.

  someone recomended courtyard marriot in edison.. i am not from the area.. is that too far? mapquest says 20min.
