Mad Hatter Themed Engagement Party

I always see post on here with people asking for engagement party ideas so I thought I would share mine with you. We recently had a mad hatter themed engagement party with all of our closest friends. Because we live in LA, my family lives in Alabama, and our friends live in Florida, we decided it would be easier on everyone else if we threw it ourselves. Plus the real point of this party was to honor our friends and ask them to be in our wedding party. We had everyone wear a super creative hat, most of which were homemade and we even had a ball pit for people to take pictures in as a play on the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland.     It's poor etiquette to throw yourself an engagement party, or any party in honour of yourself.
