Venues for 450+

Hello! I am looking into wedding venues that can hold 450+ for a friend - can be in either of the Carolinas (or even Georgia) Any ideas? It seems like a seated reception for that many people is a bit tough... Any help is much appreciated! You can email me at jlstrelecchi at mac dot com if you'd rather. Thanks!

Below is a link to the Charleston Regional Business Journal 2009 Event Planning Guide.  Around page 57 it lists out hotel venues with their specs and then moves on to Other Venues in the area.  You can easily see how many people each place can accommodate.http://issuu.com/scbiz/docs/2009_event_planning_guideGood Luck!

I'm pretty sure Lowndes Grove (in Charleston) can hold 450 +. It's a GORGEOUS venue, but a bit pricey.

Converse College in Spartanburg SC - inside and outside - gorgeous, and lots of room, OCean Drive Golf and BEach Resort in Myrtle Beach, Marriot in Spartanburg SC, I think Miyakos in Spartanburg SC also, but I can't remember if they only go up to 250ppl. Bible Baptist Church in Savannah, Calvary Baptist in Savannah, Theres a place oceanfront at Tybee beach I think it's called blue OCean, but can't remember ( haven't been there in a few years), Theres also a hotel on River street in Savannah that has a really cool ballroom thats split, it's all glass, and you can walk over river street in it, and sit directly on the river. It's also connected to the hotel, so no guests driving home drunk afterwards if you're having alcohol. Theres some other places in Savannah, but I can't think of them right now. If you're interested, email me at balletdancer7986@yahoo.com, and I'll ask my family that lives down there and see what I can find out for you. I've heard Furman University in Greenville sc is noce too, but I've never seen it.  Hope this Helps
