Cape May Weddings?

Hi ladies - I am a knottie from the Pittsburgh area- born and raised in Philadelphia suburbs. Planning a small wedding for next summer..

Any suggestions on a beach wedding in Cape May? Do you recommend another s jersey location on the beach instead?
Just starting to plan- thinking beach in Jersey. 

I went online and saw a place called the Grande Hotel. Looked nice and beach view. 

Any info is appreciated!

    I have not looked into the that venue, but know several brides on here are/have had their weddings in cape may.  for a great beach wedding, look at flanders in ocean city.  i am told the venue is fabulous and beautiful and they specialize in beach weddings.  i also heard their food is good!

    The Grand has amazing food!  I went to a wedding there last year.  Truly a beautiful wedding with spectacular views.  The only downside to the Grand occurs if the weather is not nice enough to get married on the beach.  Then you would have to get married in one of the other ballrooms (but I think you have that with any location for a beach wedding)

    i am getting married in cape may 9/18 at the Southern Mansion. The Grand Hotel was one of the places we had looked at. Unfortunately, it ended up being not what i was looking for and my wedding is smaller and there ballroom is pretty big. even though they could use walls to close it in, you still have to pay full price to use the whole ballroom. But other than that, i thought it was a really nice place.

    I'm not sure what your budget is, but I've heard good things about Congress Hall.

    I just got married at the Peter Shields Inn in Cape May. Our wedding was on the beach and then we had our reception at the Inn. The food was sooo good and I was very happy with how everything turned out. If you check out the Cape May thread at the top of the page, lots of people posted ideas and info about Cape May.

    implesket - May I ask for a ballpark idea of the costs for the Southern Mansion?  I'm still in the very early planning stages but I'm considering Cape May and the Southern Mansion has come up a lot in my search.  It looks gorgeous but probably out of my price-range.
