Pictures at Nobska

Has anyone taken pictures with their wedding party at the Nobska Lighthouse? I am getting married on a Saturday in July. We would be arriving at the lighthouse around 3:30pm for pictures. I just wanted to see if this was feasible to plan from other brides who have been through it! Any advice would be appreciated. Also, did you have to ask permission to take pictures at the lighthouse? If the lighthouse isn't feasible..does anyone know of  any other non-beach picture locations between Mashpee (Christ the King) and Falmouth (The SeaCrest)? We would prefer something with flowers or different from the beach, since we will be taking pictures at Old Silver once we get to the SeaCrest! Thanks in advance :)

Christ the king actually has some pretty nice garden spots... theres a gazebo  out front kind of tucked away.
Your photographer will tell you the lighting is different at certain times of day too so you might talk about that when you decide what to look for.
Nobska is a classic spot but takes quite a while and sometimes the traffic and hassle factor is huge... they also do have weddings out there sometimes and you could very well get there and have to wait....
I would take a drive around the month before scoping out good spots... h
you don't need epic views as much as sweet little spots.  There are little parks and gardens all over the place.

places to look at .. angel memorial chapel, central avenue east falmouth
Spohr Gardens  off surf drive in falmouth
Belltower  garden Millfield street woods hole.

We had our wedding photos taken at Nobska and our reception was all the way in Bourne.  We had our whole bridal party there including parents, I would say a half hour, then DH and I took pictures by ourselves on the beach, then to the reception in Bourne to take more photos on the golf course.  The only issue we had was the limo didn't have enough room to turn around down at the beach so he had to figure something out.  Parking is a little issue there too since there are only like 5 spots.  PM me if you want more details or would like to see my pics.  HTH!

    Hi -
We are getting married at the lighthouse in September.  My suggestion would be to contact the coast guard in Woodshole and see if the time is avail.  They will know if anyone has reserved the lighthouse for the day.   You can also book a 2 hour timeframe at the lighthouse (which is free) for the day if you need it.

    Hope this helps,
    Brad
