Hm. I'd say not very often. Most of the time, I just can't be bothered. There are certain occaisions, like when a girl in the expat group here asks if I want to hang out, I tell her I'm busy or what have you. I don't tell her the actual reason is because I find her incredibly stupid and boring as our group is rather small and closely linked, and I don't want to be the cause of that sort of problem.
I usually only lie when I'm sitting at home and just don't want to go anywhere and people want us to go out. I don't know why I can't say, uumm, I'm just going to sit at home tonight, but I feel like I have to have a better reason than that.

This is exactly me. If I just don't feel like going out I feel like I have to come up with a better excuse because I have friends who will just keep pestering me unless I have a reason they deem valid.
Other than that, I don't lie often. Just little fibs here and there to spare people's feelings, things like that.

We call that an Irish exit. I do that when I don't feel like having to make the rounds to say good bye.
I can lie and do it well but I generally don't do it much anymore. I used to lie to my parents a ton.

It's kind of a joke with my friends now. They usually do text and are all like WHERE DID YOU GO, now when I say I have to go to the bathroom later in the evening, they're just like, SEE YOU TOMORROW!!
Fishy - FI's best friend does that every time we go out. I always thought it was the funniest thing. Glad to hear he's not alone in his weirdness.
As for me, I'm a horrible liar. I also have a terrible memory, so if I did lie, I would forget what lie I told and get myself in trouble. Therefore, it's best that I don't lie at all.

I don't, really. Not in that lecturey, "I'm above lying" kind of way. I just don't really come across too many circumstances in which either lying seems like the better option, or where the truth doesn't just come tumbling out first. And I'm just awful at lying. God awful, if I even think to do it in the first place. Lying doesn't really ever occur to me, to be honest. I'm not trying to sound all superior. I experience a lot of "Daamnit, I SHOULD HAVE JUST SAID..." after I hang up the phone/walk away.
But apparently, when I do try to lie? I start talking really loudly. Because apparently, the more loudly I tell you something, THE MORE LIKELY YOU ARE TO BELIEVE IT.

Yeah, I watched that episode and Kim was a really bad liar. "I tripped over a dog and sprained my ankle!"
I think not that often for me, and never about major stuff. Its more like, "Oh, did you remember to order that cake?" Me: "Yes..." *runs to computer to look up bakery phone number.*
I lied to my mom when I was young. Remember the soap poisoning scene from A Christmas Story? Let's just say Dial probably doesn't taste any better than Life Boy, especially when the bar is wet down first and then rubbed repeatedly across your tongue. That took care of any future problems with lying.
Even when I was 20 and my parents asked if I was "involved" with my boyfriend, I looked them dead straight in the eye and said, "Yes, we're having sex." My mom wasn't expecting me to be honest about it and questioned me. All I had to say was "Mom, remember the Dial soap?" and that was that. She also never asked me about my sex life after that.
Anyway, I don't lie especially if confronted about something.

crfische! I am doing ok. I did Christmas returns today and I got intimidated by Macy's. How do people even shop there? I ran out the door with a gift card. I think I'll shop onlile. HOW ARE YOU?

I lie all the time about ugly babies, ugly decorating, and ugly clothes, and commit lies of omission pretty regularly, but I'm also in the line of terrible, terrible liars. And I also agree that it's just not usually worth the effort of remembering the lie, I rarely do anything bad enough that it would require an elaborate cover story. What I actually did is usually more interesting anyway. I rarely even lied to my mom; I managed to hide my tattoo from her for about 2.5 days, and called her about 8 hours after losing my virginity. I"m not sure why I did that, but I think she was actually relieved since she thought I had lost it a few years before.

I am the worst liar in the whole world. I can't even maintain a joke, let alone outright lie.
I can't actually think of the last time I lied..
