Vendor recommendations for Eau Claire

Hey ladies!  My friend is getting married next June in Eau Claire -- she has venues, photographer, and DJ picked already from what I've heard, but needs recommendations for hair & make-up, transportation, florist, and anything else that I might be forgetting.  SO pimp your vendors!  We're in the Twin Cities so the visits she makes to WI for planning are the time to schedule as much as she can -- thanks for your rec's and happy planning!

OMG someone else in my area!!!! I'm in Chippewa (the next town north) Where is the ceremony? I can totally help you out! Depending on where the venue is, I can make several suggestions.

Yay!  Her venue is The Florian Gardens.  I checked with her and she has ceremony/reception venue, catering, DJ, transportation, and photography.

If you have any recommendations on videography, cake, hair & make up, flowers, ceremony musicians, and even rehearsal dinner locations would be terrific!!

An awesome florist is Brent Douglas.  And if you want amazing hair try Ravin Manes and ask for Destiny.  Destiny is amazing and has such a fun personality.  She loves doing bridal hair!

My 1st choice in EC for flowers would be Avalon downtown. They have BEAUTIFUL flowers, but they are spendy. My sister used May's floral, and they turned out great for less $. Otherwise, I'm using Eevy Ivy Over in Chippewa. Vicki is the owner, and she is amazing! I don't know if Florian is too far or not though. Eevy is in Chippewa, and Florian is south EC. For a ceremony musician, my future cousin in law is a pianist - let me know if you would want her contact info. She is a senior at UWEC as a music major. As far as hair, I have a friend doing mine and my girls. My nail reccomendation would be the beauty school - the salon professional academy (tspaeauclaire.com) Their prices are great, and they do an excelent job on nails. (That's where I'm going before my rehersal dinner). I am using a makeup artist that will come to me. I have my trial run in a week and a half. Otherwise, for my sister's wedding, I used The Ultimate on the west side. I've never used or know anyone that has used Ravin Mane's, but it sounds like sting36 has had great experience with them for hair. I've never heard of Brent Douglas for flowers. If you need more help, just let me know. We are using Loopy's (a bar in Chippewa) as our transportation (a shuttle bus running to and from the hotel, and Kamp Kenwood). My bff is friends with one of the limo companies though, and I will see her tonight to pick up my dress, so I will come back on Monday to let you know who they are. OH- and please tell me her DJ isn't music in motion. They are awful, I honestly don't know a single person that has been happy with them for their wedding. Hiring them was my sister's biggest wedding regret.

I am a bride from Eau Claire too!
Brent Douglas is an amazing florist!  I see his floral arrangements at a lot of businesses throughout town.  Because I see then so often it makes me feel like he is just starting out, which might be a good thing for your budget :)
One of my co-workers went through Avalon Floral- also a great florist- for her wedding flowers.  To save some money she bought the half off coupons.  (you have to be sure to check at the right time, but halfoffdeals.com and weau.com both have them.)
I personally go to My Friend's Place on Clairemont for my hair appointments.  They even have a free consultation!  All the stylists are younger and definitely keep up on new things to try.  I love it there.
Dragonettis would be a good rehearsal dinner location.  It's a family owned italian resturant.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help with!

    Here's his site.

    http://www.brentdouglas.biz/ His flowers are Gorgeous!!

Also, I thought of this after I made my last post.  A great place for a rehearsal dinner is Ciciones.  It's a small Italian restaurant on the corner of Clairemont and Menomonie St.  I know that they will actually close the whole place to other customers for parties.

I'm not sure if your question was directed at me or not ... but My wedding is July 9th.  I'm starting to get really excited because we are just starting to pick out all the vendors and everything seems to be coming together really well!
