Transportation advice?

Hello! I am new to the boards - just booked our date officially yesterday, 10/5/13!

I am looking for input on a transportation situation. Our ceremony site and reception site are approximately a block and a half away. Would you hire transportation to bring people from the ceremony to the reception, or let people walk/drive on their own as they wish?

    Me personally, I would let people walk/drive but if it's only a block and a half away, I would walk.

    In general, I think the limos and transportation are not necessary (unless it is a destination event and transportation is provided from the hotel)

    For a block and a half, there is no need to hire transportation. Save that portion of your budget for something else.

    Def just walk it! You could get some great pictures of the whole group walking.

    We are walking from our hotel to the venue and the road is very cool looking. It'll make for some good pictures.

    Thanks for your input! That's how I feel to - just walk it - but my mom was making comments about it. I do have people that won't be able to walk that far (grandparents) but they can drive over!
