H is heading for dr. appt today.....T&P puleeze!

Well, stinker made the appt behind my back so it's too late to accompany him.  Nuts!  Why do some men do this?  xH did as well.....even drove himself to the ER in the middle of the night thinking he was having a heart attack.  I didn't know until I heard the front door opening at 4 AM and thought it was an intruder!

Anyway back to this H.  He's had muscle tightness in thighs and inner thighs since I've known him - he's constantly stretching his hamstrings but the problem has grown progessively worse in the last year.  We've done chiropractic and PT.  He also has what I believe is a hernia in the groin.  It's time to stop self-diagnosing so he made an appt.  I am just worried that it's the start of MS.  A little knowledge is a dangerous thing :(

I'll be thinking of you and your DH today hopefully it's not as bad as he thinks...

Some men are stubborn like that others just don't want to be a bother.

Keep us posted - kai?  (((hugs)))

I'll know more when I get home from the clinic tonight.  I have a feeling it's going to be a "scratching my head" dx. :(  Thanks Ang

It's hard to figure out exactly why so many men don't like going to the dr. or letting anyone know when they do finally go.

    Thinking of you and H.

I will definitely be sending good thoughts & prayers to you both today.  Having just went through the health scare thing, I know it's not a happy place.  The advice I was given then was good, so I want to give it to you too...just try to relax and breathe.  I really hope everything turns out ok.

Eventually H will have to have a hip replaced, but right now the best thing for him to do is start walking and running again even if it's on the treadmill.  He really slacked off this winter hence the worsening.  Lots of stretching exercises as well and keep up the visits to the chiropractor.  I doubt he's going to run immed. to an orthopod for a hip replacement since he's self-employed and his health insurance basically sucks. :(  But thanks ladies; load off our collective minds.

Potential hip replacement is the diagnosis he rec'd today?  Forgive me, I've just seen this thread.  No MS?  Aye ... I can't keep up.  I think this means you're breathing easier.  I certainly hope so!  ((((HUGS))))

Sorry about the hip but in the grand scheme of things it's better than MS!  Thank you for the update!!  Glad to hear that he can do measures in the interim to keep from being operated on.

Yes, hip replacement Lisa.  My ex had one in his mid-40's which was pretty young for one.  T is just going to baby it along for as long as he can.  Luckily he gets free care through the clinic I work for so that helps - even if it'll only be palliative.  He was also rx'ed some 800 mgs pain relievers so he won't have to take like 6 Aleve every day.  I wish I could get him on my insurance <sigh> but then the problem would be the 8 weeks recovery and the PT that goes along with it.
