Hi all my Houston Knotties,

I am looking at a place called Shafaii Hall & Garden for my wedding. Has any one every used or been to this place? I have not went to look at it yet. I was wanting some feed back before I drive to the other side of Houston to check it out. Thanks!!!!

    My friend got married there , it ok ! The only concern I noticed was the parking lot. It's in a strip center and it's man sized holes around..Be careful, my friend also mentioned they was nickel and diming for every little thing..She said when she went looked it was $795 for a sunday and went up to $995 when she went to book. Now I look on their website and it's $1,195. I love the uplighting and the tvs around the room.

    If you want another option it's a new hall on Long Drive @ 610 that's only $850. Bring your own everythig

    I went to look at it and was disappointed with both locations. One of their locations has a fence with barb wire. Very scetchy. Their prices are good for what they offer But I kept looking.

    I'm not trying to be rude but this place is located in ghetto area.

    Now the questions is do any of you know of another location that is in the same price range but a better place. I am looking for a all-in-one place any where in or around the Houston area. I have checked all the places The Knot has and can't find one that is around the same price. Oh, I want the ceremony to be inside. So that weeds out the places with just outside ceremonies. I can't think y'all enough for all the help.

    I'm getting married at the Magnolia Hotel in downtown Houston. When I was first emailed the price list, I almost fainted, it was so expensive. However, Kristen (catering manager) worked within my budget and gave me some very affordable options that stayed within my budget. Unfortunately, it is not an all inclusive venu, but they do include centerpieces, table linens and a free room for the bride and groom.

    I'm not sure what the price point is for Shafaii Hall & Garden, or if the Magnolia hotel will compare, but I would highly recommend it! I have found that most places are willing to work within most budgets, and will at least give cheaper options if you ask. :)
