    I'm getting married at Water's Edge in April. Im having rehearsal dinner at Luigi's. www.luigis-restaurant.com/ It was recomended by our wedding coordinator and we went there for dinner to try the foods and they were not bad!

    The Black Seal in Essex is awesome. I'm not sure how far it is from the Waters Edge though. Their stuffed clams are awesome!!!

    Cafe Routier is supposed to be really good, although I haven't eaten there.  Friends that I work with are big food gurus and I know they LOVE Cafe Routier.  Hmmm....I know of so many other places but can't think of them right now.

    I also recommend Luigi's! I helped my mom throw a private party there and it was excellent. I've also eaten there dozens of times and I've never had a bad meal.

    I live in Saybrook and Penny Lane Pub is a popular place for rehearsal dinners. Definitely a more laid back atmosphere.

    Have you looked into doing it at WE?  Or is it too expensive?  What kind of atmosphere are you looking for?  I should've asked these questions when I responded the other night but I had just gotten home and was exhausted and not thinking.
