my menu does it sound like enough?

I posted what I was considering for the menu a week or so ago, and was told to up the appetizers and provide an extra entree. Here is my revised menu, would this be adequate?:

Cocktail hour:
Open bar, beer and wine
chicken fritters
ginger shrimp
baked mushrooms
veggie quiche

Lunch:
Two carving stations: Ham and Beef
Tortellini with two sauce options, one alfredo and one marinara with breadsticks
Mac and Cheese bar
Caesar salad

Dessert:
Cake
cupcakes in a jar these are the favors, which will be left out for the guests with plastic silverware nearby

I think the only thing I would add would be another starchy side like a potato and maybe a veggie side becasue not everyone likes mac and cheese (shocking but true).

ETA:  But other than that I think you are good to go!

That is definitely reassuring. I know my guests are going to be very hungry so I wanted to make sure they had plenty to eat.

  • Ditto Maggie on adding a second veggie option and a non-pasta starch.  I think the entrees are good, and people who don't like mac and cheese might take a small portion of tortellini, but the pastas are similar.  Mashed potatoes or potato gratin would add some variety for guests, as would a side salad option or a hot vegetable.

  • I think overall it looks really good. A little something for everyone.... but I do agree with the other girls- an additional veggie (hot) would be great.
  • I like it.  DH is a vegetarian and I am a carnivore.  We would both be happy with your menu.
  • I love the menu. I really like how you are having cesar salad as well. Good job.
  • Looks good. I agree in adding another hot veggie. Also, make sure that your caterer is prepared with something if you have a vegan guest, since there is nothing there that they can eat. But I’m guessing you won’t have too many vegan guests, so there isn’t a need to offer a vegan whole dish to everyone. But it’s always good for them to have something just in case.
  • I don't think it sounds like enough.  That's an awful lot of pasta with no alternative starch.  Lots of people don't or can't eat pasta nowadays.  And, lots of people I know don't like Caesar salad. I think you need at least a couple more vegetable options, and choose either the mac and cheese or pasta/sauce, then add a potato dish of some kind.
  • I agree with others to lose one of the pastas and replace it with something else. I might avoid a caesar salad because of the fish/allergy issue. Otherwise, looks good!

  • I think it sounds great. I'd be happy with everything there and so would my husband.   If you want to add another veggie you can, but I think you've covered your bases already.
  • Add roasted potatoes (scratch out the mac and cheese if you can't afford to do both) and add in a hot veggie like string beans w/ carrots.

  • All sounds good to me, but I think the others are right--that's a lot of pasta. People who are avoiding carbs or gluten-free could have a problem. I'd add a hot vegetable of some sort, and switch one of the pastas out for another side. Your appetizers sound great!
