Vintage clothes & WR question

First, anyone have any recommendations for vintage clothing websites? I'm looking for some vintage dresses!

Now, the WR question: my 12 year old cousin is one of two ushers for the wedding day. She's coming dress shopping with us tonight to see if there is anything she might like to wear (my MOH & BMs are wearing black, so she will be too). My mom thinks she should walk down the aisle just before the flower girl & RB. I didn't think ushers walked down the aisle? WWYD?

http://shopruche.com/ and modcloth.com have nice vintage inspired stuff.

What era of clothing are you looking for?

Kind of off topic but Roma you pinned the prettiest jewelry recently!

  • I can't wait to see all your pics!
  • For the ushers, I don't think they usually walk down the aisle. However, if the little girl wants to and it would make her feel more included in the wedding party, I think she should! Heh, she's probably much cuter than my FI's old high school buddies, who will not be walking down the aisle! :-P Or, if the FG & RB are young enough to get easily distracted, you may want her between them with a firm grip on their hands, making sure they make it from one place to another, lol! That was my role when I was an older flower girl!

  • irish, I read that the ushers usually seat the mom's, so I think I'll have her walk my mom to her seat. Compromise! =]

This is what I've heard for the most part.  My 2 brother's are our ushers so I think I am going to have them walk FI's sister (who is reading during our ceremony) down the aisle behind FI and his parents (before the WP).  Since both of my parents are walking me in, FI is walking with both his parents, and we have no grandma's coming, FI's sister is the only one left really or none of them would walk down the aisle.  Since they are immediate fam tho I think it would be nice.
