Does anyone know of a good (and reasonably priced) makeup artist that does bridal makeup or a good hair place for updoes? I'm getting married in North Raleigh. Thanks!!

    What is your definition of 'reasonable price'? Are you wanting to go to their salon, or them travel to your location?

    There's this place in Cameron Village - on top of Cantina 18 called Beauty Ethics and they do hair and make up. I actually go to them for my skin care stuff right now - I could post pages and pages about how amazing they are! Comparable product prices to Target and no testing on animals! (I didn't think that big companies like Neutrogena would - boo!)

    Thanks Kelsey!! So Julie was recomended to me by my wedding planner but I was unable to find any reviews on her so this is super helpful to know that she does a good job. Do you know anything about the hair aspect of that salon?

    You try Bella Trio in Durham (near Southpoint Mall).  I got there for spa treatment, and they're prices run pretty average.  Also, I get my hair done at Salon Blu in Brier Creek (north Raleigh). I know they have a make-up artist.

    That's awesome that you're wedding planner recommended her! I don't have any personal experience with the hair part, but I know that Julie wouldn't hire someone that doesn't do a great job. It's definitely worth going in for a trial at least! I'm not sure how much a consult is, but up does are only $45.

    When I went in for my skin care lesson with Julie, she was having fun and did my make up...I seriously never felt more beautiful and it didn't look like I had much make up on at all. I was just all glowy and dewey looking. I plan on getting her to do my engagement picture make up ($45 and so worth it) as well as my bridal make up ($95 includes consult...hoping to use the consult as my bridal pics make up).

    I get my hair done at Bella Trio and Jodi is awesome!  She'll be doing my hair for my wedding!  They are in Durham right by Southpoint.

    She is absolutely amazing.  I hired her to drive from Raleigh to Wilmington to do my hair/makeup and my BMs hair.
