How much is/was your officiant?

I keep thinking that $400 is outrageous for someone to spend 45 minutes with us, but am I totally off base?

    Our officiant is also our DJ and we are paying $950 for both services together.  $400 seems like a lot to me.

    We looked into Erica & Jason but we are using a family friend instead.

    Her price is $250 for ceremony and rehearsel.

    I'm using Rev Ari Gray and she is $350 for rehearsal and cermomy.

    Try out Jason McClaren.  He is pretty awesome and I believe that he is $250 for both!

    Marty with Love Notes was $450.  He met with us twice and his fee included the rehearsal.  Our rabbi was $600.  He met with us twice also but did not attend the rehearsal. I was fine with Marty's fee--I thought the rabbi was a little high.

    I'm going to blame it on the B's thumb. That would have made all the difference. Thanks, I've sent it over to FI! :)

    I chose Marty as well. He works with Fairy Tale Manor where were having our ceremony and reception so were getting him for $375.

    We used Love Notes but had Ken Savage as our officiant.  I was iffy on paying $350ish total for both rehearsal and wedding but it was well worth it.  First off, he is completely awesome.  He has this calming manner about him and totally kept me from crying at the alter.  He also got everyone in line at the rehearsal and everything went so smoothly.
    If you go with Love Notes, you also get a book that has all sorts of ceremonies and options.  We ended up putting our own wedding together and it was perfect.

    We paid around $150, $175.  We met with him once for a semi-counseling session.  He came to the rehearsal and obviously the wedding.

    We have been lucky enough to have a family friend's hubby do it for no charge.  I met with LoveNotes and loved each one of them though

    My father is doing it so it's free for us! Had we chosen to go with someone at the church instead it would have been $200 but that also includes the meetings before the big day and the rehearsal

    FWIW, we looooved Ari. If you just use her for ceremony, it's $250. Love her.

    We're using Ari as well. We're paying the extra $100 for the rehearsal, because I'm sure we need it. She's been so great so far.
