Just moved to Kansas City. Neep help!!

I just moved to Kansas City, MO, and don't know anyone in KC. Can someone please help me on planning my wedding?  Does anyone know how much it would cost to have a ceremony at the sawyer room?  The total cost including food, pictures, video, food, and liquor.

It really all depends on how many guests you have, and what you want to spend. Pictures could cost anywhere from $2000-$10000...... So how many guests do you have? And what type of food are you wanting?

We haven't set a date  beacuse I want to find a place first. Because I'd hate to get my heart set on a date, then the place is booked that day. I looked at the Sawyer Room its already almost  booked for next summer.  We want to get married in the summer tho. I looked at pennway place online its beautiful. Can you give me some ideas? I'm trying to keep my butget around 12,000. Any help will be greatly appreciated! :)

You're on the right track, I would start contacting various venues and find out what dates they have and get quotes from them.  Go check them out in person, that will give you an idea of what your wedding could be like and if you mesh well with the staff.  Once you have the venue and the date the other things will start to fall into place!  We will be here to help along the way!  Check out vendor reviews on our knottie website, weddingwire.com, and other sites!

Do you how expensive pennway place is or sawyer room? I just moved to Kansas City  2 weeks ago.  I haven't even looked for a dress yet.  Can you recommend some bridal shops?  Thanks. :)

Bridal shops to look at would be Mia's, Gown Gallery, Ida's, Emily Hart....

I'm pretty sure the Sawyer room is somewhat on the expensive side. If you are talking $12,000 for just the room rental/food/liquor that would probably be good.  But if you are thinking $12,000 with flowers/photos/favors/decor/dress/etc....that may not be as doable.

Two other places you may want to look at are Belvior Winery in Liberty, MO...their rental fee is fairly reasonable (their alchohol prices not so much) and Tuscan Ballroom in Liberty.

Have you looked at Hawthorn House that is another good one for 150 guests.

    Or Club 1000.

The places you are interested are definitely on the expensive side - if I were you take a look at Studio B or Californios if you are interested in a central KC reception. I am having a very budget friendly wedding for 150 people and I can only manage to keep it around 17,000 - 18,000 (includes wedding, reception, wedding bands and honeymoon). Best of luck to you!! :)
