out of town guests and hotel accomodations

Hi ladies! I am having a good amount of out of town wedding guests. Should I simply list hotels in the area when I send the invitations? Or should I block off a few rooms at several different hotels? I'm leaning more toward just listing hotels because of the drastic price differences. Any advice is welcome!

    i did both. everyone ended up using the same hotel that i had blocked off rooms at.

    I reserved blocks at two different hotels (one a standard no frills hotel, one more of a "suite" style place but both close in proximity) and on our website I just listed the information and prices for each so they can choose, but theyre guaranteed a room at either..

    It's easy and it doesn't cost you anything, so i just see it as a nice gesture for your OOT guests (that way, too, you can have some welcome bags ready for them! if they're all at random different hotels you can't do that :P)
