Fossil Trace Golf Course Help

We just looked at the restaurant at Fossil Trace in Golden. I LOVE the view for the ceremony but what concerns me is the reception. From the looks of it its two seperate rooms that are divided by a huge fireplace in the middle and doors on each side. I am afraid that if we go with that place it may feel like we have to seperate areas instead of one reception and I dont want people not being able to see into the other room. Has anyone had there wedding there or just reception? Do they make it feel like one room in the end? Thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated since we are down to just a couple venues that have our date open.

    when are you getting married? I had my reception there in Jan 2009. We used the big ballroom specifically. Thats where our guest ate and the dance floor, the other room was used as the place for our guest to get their food, bar, and place for gifts and where people hanged out to avoid the loud music.

    Hey Nicole--I photographed a wedding there this past summer and it was an excellent venue.  The staff was excellent, including the coordinator.  

    I get what you mean about the two spaces, but I think it actually worked out really well.  This couple had the dinner buffet line in the room with the bar, but just outside the main space.  

    I found that most of the guests stayed in the main room unless they were refilling their drinks at the bar or stepping out onto the balcony for some fresh air.  I'd definitely recommend it!
