PIP and a question

Some of you might know that I have major hair anxiety, when it comes to other people doing it.  Currently I'm working on my own trials, until I find a stylist.  (FI is the only person who does my hair, so that's not an option)

I was wondering if you guys aren't creeped out by mannequins, would you mind helping me rule out some styles and help me pick some for my portfolio?  I'll probably do one a week.

My MOH, was asked to be a keynote speaker at a major college, and she wants me to do her hair, so she's going to choose her style by these pictures also.

They're crappy cell phone pictures and I'm not sure why this is sideways.  I didn't use any product or irons to do this, so there are some some flyaways.



Top and back.  Those gaps on the right wont be there.  I ran out of the right pins.  There will also be a hair clip separating the top/bottom.

    That's pretty, I could totally see that being a wedding style :) Its simliar to some of the inspiration pictures I had fallen in love with initially

    I really like that. It looks like it'd be a great hairstyle to attach a clip and veil. I'm adding it to my hair inspiration pics, thanks :)

    You and FI do hair?  Your work is amazing!  I just wonder how hard it would be to do it on your own instead of a mannequin.  I really like how the top is layered into the bottom (don't know the technical term for it).  Nice :0)

    Yes, both of us are stylists.  He's been in the business about 20 years and this year makes 10 for me.

    I have it in my hair now.  I've been doing everything on the mannequin and then on myself just in case I cant find someone I trust.  Also, you'll laugh but I've been taking step by step pictures, if the stylist doesnt "get" how to do it.<img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-embarassed.gif" border="0" alt="Embarassed" title="Embarassed" />

    I figured I'd work on and post one a week.  That way I can de-stress for a night and nobody on here will want to shoot me with a million PIPs going on.

    That would be like a wedding planner have someone else plan their wedding! You are super talented! That is a beautiful hair style and def great for wedding hair.

    Wow, I am super impressed, you do amazing work! I think that looks gorgeous and I can't believe you can do it on your own head! I cannot do ANYTHING with my hair, it's pathetic. I even suck at blowdrying it, like how is that even possible?

    I can't wait to see what else you do!

    That hairstyle is gorgeous!! If a stylist cant do it (I would do a hair trial beforehand), would you be able to do it on yourself? You certainly have plenty of time to practice.

    Thanks girls. I wish I had a busier schedule but licensing is holding me back, I need more hours in NH than I did in MA. Ill toss this in the portfolio and possible for my wedding pile.
