Hello, I am gettng married in Maui March 2013 and I am looking for a photographer. I have gotten quotes from a couple and can't believe how expensive they are! Anyone have any good experiences with a photographer at a decent price? Thanks!

Can you be a bit more specific on your budget range? "Decent price" is relative so it would help us in recommendations if we knew where you would like to be.

Try Julian Allen.... I think he is pretty reasonable and from the reviews it sounds like he goes above and beyond for his guests. Scott Drexler also is based on Maui and his packages start around $1,000

Yes 'decent price' is quite vague

I was hoping to get a package for the day around $2500 or under? I have been quoted nearly twice that by a couple of photographers so far and I'm not sure if that's just how much it costs or if there are other options. Thanks for the input everyone!!

Try Maui Creative Photography- they are definitely in your $2500 range and they are new to Maui and looking to establish themselves. We are getting a really great value with them and they have been great to work with so far.

I went with Scott Drexler and he was worth every penny. He has a package in the 1500 range and he was wonderful to work with.

Thanks everyone! I have decided on Julian Allen..he is in my budget and included is a book and a second shoot. I guess he only shoots in Maui a few months out of the year and the rest of the time he is in Ohio. I need a job that sends me to the islands for a while!
