I don't know about you, but I'm all about the photography for our wedding! When it's all said and done the food will be eaten, the flowers will die, and the party will end. But the pictures will last forever!

So I'm wondering if you ladies would shere who your photographer was/is, what you thought/think of them, and their price (if you don't mind that last one)? This way we can have a really great list of recommendations! Thanks ladies!

    I used Kelly Maughan Photography (website)
    I have a long review in my married bio (link in siggy) on Kelly, but in short, she was awesome!  I absolutely love, love, love our pictures, and she was so sweet.  We really connected in our interview, our epics shoot was just a fun time, and at the wedding it felt like she was an old friend.  She has raised her prices just a little since I booked her last year, but she is still very affordable for the quality of work you will get: Her wedding packages begin at $2000.  Here is a link to our wedding slideshow she made of our pictures, and many of my fav pictures are in my married bio.  Slideshow

    DM Studio2 Photography. Chad and Brandon are friendly, communicative, imaginative and easy to work with. You get a lot for the price. I would recommend them without hesitation - we've been very happy with them!

    We are using Matthews Wedding Photography. They are a husband & wife team. We love their work and their fun upbeat personalities. We are getting an engagement session, 7 hours on wedding day, a 24 page custom designed album, and a disc of all our pictures with a copyright release (which is very important to us) for just under $1500.  www.matthewsphoto.net

    Katie Minister of Minister Images. <3 Her. She is so sweet and cute and is SUPER friendly. She knows how to deliver what her customer wants and is flexible on all levels. :-) My sig pic is one of the candid's she caught of me and Fi during our E-Shoot.     Annie Thress Photography! Met with her and she's awesome. It's a wife and husband so we get 2 photographers.. We haven't had our wedding yet but they have a ton of photos if you meet with them and a website. It's 575 for 4 hours and you get all the photos on cds (375) and all the copyrights.

    We're having Kyle Muza from Little Tree Studios photograph our wedding.  We've already had our engagement session and I was very pleased with the images and I hate photos of myself!  She (yes, she, haha) did a great job!

    We used Kim Potterf and I can't enough great things about her! She had an amazing eye for detail and caught some amazing moments throughout our day. She is a little more costly than some other photographers listed here, but we felt photography was so important to us (for the same reasons you listed) and we didn't really want a videographer, so we had more to spend for our photography. She is so thorough, has a great personality that makes everyone feel comfortable- like a friend taking our picture- and she goes above and beyond to make your experience memorable. She even had our album overnighted from the binding company and  she hand delivered our album to our house this past Christmas Eve! Love love love her!

    We are having the Ely Brothers!  Yay!  I loved their look and it was too unique to pass up.  Theyre expensive but the photography was the one area i wanted to have no budget limit (that and the Jeni's bar was non-negotiable).

    We also thought about Kimberly Potterf, loved her portfolio, but we rearranged our date and she was booked.

    So after hearing our photographer yelled at my husband today because of an honest review I left on here for her-I have no problems continuing to say how angry and upset I am over Donna Keidel at DK Photographic. Of the 3,000 pictures she said were taken the day of our wedding, we only received 750 on our CD. When we asked where the rest were, her first response was to call us liars and say that she never told us she took 3,000-flat out lie people! She literally said this to both my husband and I when she was leaving, then to my parents, and then to my husbands parents. 

     Then she responded saying that we had paid her for her "eye" of photography! No-actually we chose her to take our pictures, not to choose which pictures we wanted. So we ended up only getting one picture of my husband and I with his family, one with him and I and my family, and one of us with each of our grandparents. Everyone has a different taste in pictures, just because she liked that one, does not mean I would, but I didn't have a choice.

    Andy Buckingham at buckinghamphotography.com is wonderful to work with and also very affordable.  His style is more photojournalistic, which I just love!

    My friend had Lauryn Byrdy the pictures were so fantastic. .  Very nice-She had a second photographer.. But I'm sure that is pricey.  I haven't gotten this far, but I liked her work.

    Just don't do what we did. Used a friend of a friend.
    Still have tears in my eyes when I look at the pictures. And they are NOT happy tears Yell
