Flamingo Las Vegas:
DH and I used to live in Vegas, so we knew that choosing a hotel to suit everyone’s budgets and tastes would be difficult. I wanted to have a room block at a place that was affordable and that had a good location. I knew the Flamingo would be it, but I was VERY concerned about online reviews of the hotel. I was able to secure an awesome pricing on a room block (through Total Experiences, more on them later) and decided to take my chances with them. We had over 25 rooms blocked in our wedding block. I know most people get their own offers and such in the mail, but our pricing beat everyone’s offers. I was sooo nervous about the hotel, but it ended up being great. The GO rooms were perfect for $80/night and were very clean and comfortable. Their regular rooms have all been renovated and were also great for $40/ night! The only thing is the hallway carpet was a bit dirty in areas, etc.. but it is not something that would ruin your trip. Housekeeping did a great job as well, I gave a tip everyday and they cleaned the room awesome! The pool was crowded, but there is another family pool that was better for the older people and was much less rowdy. It also had a nice food court to grab a quick bite to eat and was a prime location. I would highly recommend the hotel, and keep in mind I work in management at a hotel myself and have very high standards for a property. Overall, a great option for guests who like a smaller casino and who may be on a budget.
Retro Bakery: A+++Probably the best cupcakes I have ever had! They delivered on time and had everything perfect. I had a tower for 50 cupcakes and a topper. Pictures to follow reviews. They were a great vendor and were super easy to work with. I also ordered cupcake to-go boxes on Oriental Trading for $15 bucks and almost all the guests took a cupcake home with them for a midnight snack! It was a great idea since not everyone wanted to eat one at the reception.
RSVP Rentals: A++We rented 4 high top cocktail tables with black linens, two large beverage tubs, a small square table for cupcakes and an 8ft banquet table for food. We picked up and dropped back off in our mini-van. It was a quick ride to the place and everything was fine. I would definitely use them again!!
Bently & Wilson (Todd): A+++++Well, Todd was simply perfect for us. He made my camera shy DH feel comfortable and was so easygoing and kind. He did an awesome job at taking pictures without direction at the reception as well and even stayed a bit later than contracted. He was wonderful, and happens to be from my city! Small world! Although I have not seen his photos yet, I am sure they will be great. He was such a gentleman and I would love to hire him again. Truly awesome.
