We finally met with our sponsor couple to review the results of our inventory. We had a lot of things to discuss, but it was to be expected as we are a second marriage, interfaith, with grown children couple. We didn't know how to answer some of the questions about having children! Not possible, but that was not one of the possible answers.
We do need to further discuss faith in our married life. We had simply decided I would go to my church and he would go to his and sometimes go to each other's, but didn't think about how our faith would affect our daily lives.
We also need to seriously talk about finances. We had been putting it off hoping that he would have a job by now and we could do a budget based on it. But the reality is that he isn't working and we need to do a budget (including tithing) based just on my salary.
We see the priest tonight for our final meeting. Glad to have this part of the preparation done.
