marriage license question

Hey everyone! I am planning a wedding for march and was looking up the legalities for obtaining the marriage license and came across the law that women under 50 must have a completed State of Indiana Premarital Examinate Certificate. Does anyone know what the premarital exam consists of? I read somewhere that it meant that they tested to see if you were vaccinated against rubella, is that true and how do they test for that?

    WHAT?!?!  I haven't looked into the license yet since I'm not getting married until August next year, but I'm listening in for more info on this.

    I think you just have to go to your doctor and they check your medical history and see that you have been vaccinated for rubella.  But I'm not married yet...I hope some married ladies have some insight!

    It is just a blood test they have to run. I am not sure of the reason though

    You no longer have to do this.  To get the updated version, call your County Clerk's office.  When I applied for my marriage license in 2008, we just had to have our driver's licenses.

    I think the paperwork you have to bring with you varies by county, but there aren't any medical or blood tests done anymore. I think H and I had to bring our DLs and birth certificates.

    im getting married in evansville next june and i now live in texas so i just googled marriage license in vanderburgh county and it came up with the site. it gives all the info you would need
