I love the look of uplighting, but it just wasn't in our budget. I have seen someone DIY lighting and I've been chatting with her to find out the details, and I could do it for about $400, and then hopefully sell the stuff afterwards. It doesn't give off quite the same effect as the professional uplights, but they do colorwash the walls a bit and give a little glow. So I guess my question is, do you think it's worth it? What are your thoughts on uplighting? I'd love some feedback.
