  Heh, I just went to look at one of the family wedding photos from the 20s. My grandmother has this giant armful of single-color mums of some sort (I counted 12), with huge 4-in wide ribbon strands hanging down. Not a bow, just a straight ribbon.
  
  But the photos all sepia tones, so I don't know much more...Rocking dropped waist dress though.
