*RANT* OH MY GOODNESS! :/

So, I'm working on getting out of my apartment and into a house right now. I'm trying to do this in the most civil manner possible too, because the move is due to some differences between one of my roommates and I.

However, I am so ANGRY right now. She brought her parents into this. Her PARENTS.
GAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!! :////

Nothing peeves me more than a college student that automatically has her parents fight all her battles. Maybe it's the fact that when I moved out, I basically moved out for good. I take care of my expenses, my rent, my bills, ect...and although I lead a good relationship with my parents, I make my own decisions and take care of me.

At this point in time I don't know what to do, or how to let her know I'm so upset. (She keeps avoiding me and it's getting really frustrating.)

    Ugggh that is one reason the only roommate I'll have for awhile is my husband, whom I can unpolitely tell to move his shiit before I flip out. Haha I hated sharing a space after awhile....is your move finalized? In process? Can you just ignore her too, since it doesn't sound like the friendship would be salvaged anyway? How long do you have to deal with this BS? Hoping it just calms down and you can ride out the last little bit there until your rid of her!

    Oh Girl I hear you!!!!

    My ex-roommate and I used to be BFFs, so we moved into her parent's rent house about 2.5 years ago. It went well for a while.... then she started taking medication for her cronic migranes and she went freakin' insane. I avoided her wrath for almost a year because she took it out on her ex boyfriends. Until she broke up with her crazy felon boyfriend who stalked our house for several months....But, she put someing on her FB about leaving for the summer (hellllooooo I still live there!) FI put something on her wall about PERSEC and given recent problems it probably was not a good idea to advertise that. She flipped out. Yelled at me, telling me to control my FI and how I needed to apologize for him. Um... What? I'm not sure about you ladies, but I do not control my FI at all...nor will I speak for him. 

    ANYWAY, she kicked me out, so I took that as an 'eviction' and left. Her father threatened to call the DA on me because I didn't give him 30 days notice. Um.. right.  He tried to enforce the contract that we drew up 2 years ago...but it was null and void because he never drew up a new contract when he raised rent by over 20%. SOO technically I had been paying 20% more for rent and even paying him the extra month's rent he still owed me $50. That and technically the roommate was never on the lease...I should have been charging that bitch rent. 

    Anyway, protect yourself with knowledge. I wish I could have worked it out with my roommate, we were really good friends, but until she gets off that medication she is BSC.

    It's not completely finalized. I'm waiting on a reply from the owner of the house and I'm in the process of subleasing my part of the aparment right now. I probably have to deal with this until winter break and I really just wish I could leave now. She just ruined my day today...and I was having such a good one too. My SO actually asked me what my ring size was this morning and well we have been talking about everything involving marriage lately...so it just made me even happier....And then...she happened. :/

    How can someone be so dependent on their parents at that age? I still don't understand that...and if the problem is with me and my other roommate then how is going to her parents going to fix it?

    I just really hope I can deal with this for a couple weeks more and hopefully things will calm down.

    Unfortunately people are dependent on their parents at ALL ages.....try not to let her get you down. Seriously, stay busy, stay out of the apt if you can, and I hope it works out for you quickly!!!!

    Amanda: Yep, my roommate has gotten waaaayyy out of hand. She's turning into this huge control/clean freak. Her argument for being upset was that my other roommate's boyfriend was over here so much and how she "wasn't paying for him to live here too"...which is total bogus. We all have individual leases and pay seperate rent and we have never asked her to pay anything. I work and pay for all my own things and always find a way to make ends meet. So that argument does not fly with me. It's not like the guy was in her room, or eating her food from the fridge...or anyone's for that matter. He would always be in his girlfriend's room. I'm just gonna get out now before my SO comes back because I know we wanted to live together. So I found us a house that's in a nice quiet neighborhood for much cheaper than what I pay here. AND it's 3 bedrooms. :) So I could just rent one out and keep one spare in case of anything.

    I feel you. I am at my wits end with my roommate. He brings over his friends that make a mess and don't clean it up. What really killed me... I found five.. FIVE full pieces of gum in my carpet...
