3 months left and feeling like i dont have plans set yet..

My wedding date is Oct. 21, 2011 and have a deposit down on the venue (Hyatt Regency Maui) for the ceremony however after a month of the resort charging my credit card and them telling me that they will send me a checklist of all the details for the package they haven't sent me anything until i called them today requesting the status on everything.  The coordinator said she will email me the list and mail me the paperwork but i just feel like i have no set plans as of now! i dont know if im starting to stress but i feel like they are just taking their time and i am not aware of anything..so far i have ordered my dress, took engagement pics, did our wedding website and have booked our flights and rooms.  I still need to do the invitations (even though i already more or less know who will be going, but still waiting on some people for answers) I just want to know if im on track or need to have more plans such as the details of the ceremony, flowers, etc. or if i should just wait for the coordinator to contact me? I feel like im planning this wedding alone and no one is helping me! maybe im just a paranoid that things will not go as planned and im starting to freak out..do any of you have advice on what are the things i should definately have done by this timeframe? i need direction!!!

Many hotel catering managers just handle the food and beverage unless you book a  complete package with them.  You might want to check in on them, that is a little too close for comfort

A lot of those little details can be decided in the next month. I wouldn't worry too much. I haven't communicated anything regarding flowers or any of that with my coordinator yet either.

Maybe I'm an overplanner BUT it seems like you may want to call and get the ball rolling on a lot of things. All your problems can be solve dif you stay on top of them...island time sucks when you are planning from so far away. I would be freaking out if it were me, but I tend to overplan things. For example:
Things I have booked/done and my wedding isn't until Sept. 2012
    ~Coordinator
    ~Venue
~Private room at a restaurant for wedding night
    ~Photographer
    ~Hair/Make-up
~Save-the-dates & invites are pretty much completed
    ~OOT bag goodies

I'd call and get those going, too.  Our wedding isn't until next year and we already have this all done.

[QUOTE]      I would call the hotel and talk to someone else like a manager. You need to find out if they supply those things as part of your package or if they are separate costs and you need to find them yourselves.

I totally agree. What did you hire the people to do for you? Obviously anything that's not in the contract you signed is stuff you'll have to find for yourself.

Personally, I think priorities #1 & 2 are the reception (because you cannot leave your guests hanging - especially if this is a destination wedding and they've paid good money to come) and photographer. Decor, paper, etc, that's all secondary.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. After i contacted the coordinator she did email me all the PDF files and the checklist of what i will need to pick, but it did seem like she had forgotten about me since she really didnt give me an answer when i asked her if she had already mailed the paperwork, however, i did get the checklist that same day.  But now i have to quickly decide on flowers, number of platters for our cocktail reception, and photographer an decide by Aug. 5th!! that only gives me 3 weeks! so now i gotta pick and research and hopefully have my choices..i knew i would feel sorta rushed!  Our wedding will be small (20 people) so hopefully its easy to pick things but right now i just cant decide on invitation designs/themes! any ideas? i kinda want something romantic/fun/with a touch of Hawaii...also i kinda wanna do them myself so any websites for free/cheap downloads would be appreciated!

yeah any recommendations are appreciated!! i haven't gotten a chance to look over photographers yet just skimmed through some but Fiance is most likely gonna choose since he knows more about photography than me..but whatever recommendations would help speed up the process!!
