Frustrated!

I've been completely vegan since Jan 1st, no sodas, no nothing. I've done the Shred and alternated with P90X and jogging cardio.......and I've lost 15 pitaful pounds! That's it! I know 15lbs is good, but come on I've seriously sacrificed here! I'm working full time and planning a wedding too. Give me a freakin break. I just want to quit, eat a huge steak or Mexican food, with cheesy potatos, and a monster thing of ice cream (the oreo kind), and top it off with a jumbo Coke!!! UUUUGGGGGHHHHHH! Come on life be reasonable! I want to also take all of the healthy freakin soy food crap and throw it out the door. Help!

  • Ahh, I am sorry your having a hard time! Try and remember that just because its vegan does not mean its low in calories or healthy for you.. I know when I get stuck in a weight loss rut trying to cut out sodium can really help! Good Luck, hang in there!! 
  • I'm going that too. Very low sodium, veggies, salads, fruit, nuts, lite whole wheats, ect....I think I'm just stuck this way.
  • I get this way to!  I work my ARSE off and nothing!  I wish I knew what to do, but at least you have lost some weight (I have lost about 5 lbs).  However I will say that muscle weighs more than fat so try and measure more that weighing.  Good luck and remember that womens bodies tend to hold on to fat when stressed or overworked.

  • First off let me say you are a ROCK STAR for having the will power to have done all that!!! Laughing I have my fist 5k coming up in April and I'm just hoping I don't have to have the paramedics called! Women's metabolisms are evil, evil creatues and they betray us more and more each year. I know it sounds weird, but are you eating enough? To keep your metabolism running right we have to eat breakfast and then small frequent meals. This is really hard for me to do (against everything you think you should do!) so I always ask this first....
  • Honestly, you're probably not eating enough calories. When you work out hard and don't give your body the calories it needs, it goes into starvation mode...your metabolism goes WAY down and you're not going to lose anything. Eat more food and I bet you lose more weight.
