Receiving marriage certificate after wedding

Hey everyone! We submitted our marriage documents the middle of December and haven't received our marriage license yet. Anyone know how long it takes to process everything? I'm starting to get worried.

Re: Receiving marriage certificate after wedding

  • Do you mean your license or your marriage certificate? I just received our certificate in the mail and ordered it around the same time you did, but I got expedited shipping.
  • Yup, I mean marriage certificate. I didn't even know expedited shipping was an option! Wish I knew.
  • Hmmm....I still haven't received a certificate and we got married in May. *worried face*
  • I keep searching the Internet for an estimate and can't find a thing. I'm not even going to bother calling them since I tried like ten times calling them when I had questions about documents I would need to apply for the license. Argh!
  • Nola, did you order it? I had to order it myself online, they don't automatically send it to you. And they told me it would only be 5 bucks and it was more like 20 plus shipping. Go figure.
  • Do you know how to obtain a waiver for out of town couples who will not make the 72 hour timeframe?

The officiant will provide it and you have to submit it along with the rest of your forms. I would make sure to tell them ahead of time that you will need it.</a></a>
