Reception Venues

Anyone have any reccommendation for reception venues? We are looking in the budget of 70 to $85 pp. We also have visited the William Penn Inn and fell in LOVE! But we still want to keep our options open. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!!

I got married 4 years ago but my wedding reception was at Marjeanes in Lansdale.  At the time, it was very reasonable and you got a lot of bang for your buck.  Good luck.

We're using Marjeanes in Lansdale, getting married this Oct. The prices are good and their place there is really pretty nice. I've only heard good things about it, have never been there for anything myself though. GL!

My friends got married at The William Penn Inn and their reception was wonderful.  For their price and what is included, I think it's tough to beat.  The only reaston we didn't go there is because we needed a larger venue.

I haven't been to a wedding at Marjeane's, but I have been to other events there.  They do a great job, but IMO the WPI is better.

One of my friends is having her reception at the Eddington Room in Bensalem.  I haven't seen it, but I've heard good things and they are charging around $65/person for a Friday evening.

We just booked the William Penn Inn for our July 2012 wedding. We are thrilled! Other places in the area that we looked which could be comparable (maybe closer to the $85/$90 price range) are Normandy Farm, their sister site Blue Bell CC, and Talamore CC. Talamore had a "frugal gourmet" buffet for $80pp (includes tax&tip). My sister's friend just had her reception at the Holiday Inn on Sumneytown Pike right at the TP entrance--it's considered Kulpsville. It was just renovated, and from what she said, it was really nice. Good luck!

Lazaretto ballroom in tinicum pa offers unbeatable packages in that price range. The ballroom is beautiful , food is delicious and the hospitality is the best you could ask for ! They have some high demand dates left including June 16 2012. Good luck :)
