Best Man can't come anymore?

My FI's best man is in the Air Force. He was excited to be in the wedding, but found out today he has to be in some type of training for the Air Force the entire month of our wedding and can no longer come.

I told my fiance that I felt it was rude to replace his best man, that it would be better to just have his two groomsmen (one of which he hasn't asked yet, and our wedding is in a month -- I want to smack him).

What do you think? Rude to replace the best man, and have an uneven wedding party instead (which I'm fine with)?

    Do not replace him. I would still have him listed in the program but as maybe as Honorary BM since he can't make it? You could also just still list him as BM even though he can't make it.

    He is still the Best Man.  Your DH needs to leave his spot open and explain in the program that he couldn't be with you because of his service to the country.
