Help for Reception Ideas in La Grange/Louisville KY Area!

I'm getting married labor day next yr and am looking for a cool, inexpensive location for an outdoorsy wedding in KY. I'm not from here and will be planning this from a distance, so a I need some help.

A barn that can hold 250 people for a wedding reception in the La Grange/ Louisville area would be cool. A barn with electricity would be great! A garden area too would be cool. We're also on a budget. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Yew Dell is gorgeous, but crazy expensive. Gardens of Ray Eden is less expensive, but along the same lines.

Try Gingerwoods. It's in Prospect/Goshen area.

Yew Dell is lovely, but definitely pricey. And Gingerwoods has one major downfall--it is right near the Henry's Ark petting zoo and the smell can travel to Gingerwoods in the summer heat.

I love the Apple Patch, but it only holds a small amount of people.

Have you tried contacting people who own farmland or horse farms in the area?

What about the wineries that are up that way? There's the Smith-Berry Winery in New Castle. Here's the link: http://www.smithberrywinery.net/index.htm The website says they have a barn that can hold 500. It's not outdoors, but it's got huge glass windows overlooking a wooded area and is beautiful. The Holloway Center through the KY United Methodist Headquarters and Camp Kavanaugh is in Crestwood.
