Happy to Sad in 1 hour!!! Photographer suggestions???

Omg...I was soo excited because I just booked my florist...Florist on 5th. I had a meeting with her and she seems awsome and nice and affordable so I went home to email my stepmom and tell her the good news and then I saw an email from my photographer....
I was using Jennifer Waters who I was very excited about. She has 2 3yr old twin boys and 2 twin girls on the way so I knew she would be busy but she didn't know about the girls until after I booked her. Well she wrote me an email saying how busy she would be and would be pumping every few hours at the wedding and would need to get a babysitter and so on..... She said she would give me back my deposit and I still trust her to do good but honestly she doesn't sound like she wants to do it anymore.
But i totally understand bc 2 sets of twins!!! Wow!! I understand completely so should I accept the deposit back and look for someone else? Any suggestions? I loved how she would give me full rights to pics....that's a huge plus. In a way this might be a blessing in disguise. But she was sooo affordable. What do you guys think??? Know anyone you would suggest? Its a Friday wedding so I might be in luck there with finding someone.

I think I would look around for another photographer just because of all her distractions.  We are using Moonwell Photography also M&M photo is pretty reasonable.

Check around with a few photographers - I know a lot will give a discount for Fridays!

Jennifer just finished our engagement pictures last week.  They turned out great.  We met her for the first time and loved her.  She also sent me a similar email, and I explained that we would completely understand if she needed breaks every 3 hours (and we would need them, too, for that matter).  I also explained if she wanted to bring an assistant, we will make sure they both would be included in meals, etc.

I literally FREAKED out when I got her email though, because I wasn't sure if she was saying she didn't want to do it anymore, or if she was letting us know to give us a head's up, and giving us an opportunity to get a different photographer that could be there every second.

I wrote her back and asked what she felt comfortable doing, and I explained we are MORE than willing to allow her to have breaks every 3 hours to pump.  I have a twin, and my FI brother has young twins--anyone who knows this, knows she will be pumping like crazy, haha.  We completely understand, and I made this very clear to her.

She wrote me back the NICEST email and said she was just worried that we would be upset if she told us on the day of our wedding that she would need to take scheduled breaks to pump, and was worried that her leaving for 20-30 minute breaks would be a huge inconvenience for us.

We are actually going to work on a tentative "schedule", including her breaks.  She was SO appreciative and nice about everything.  I am sure she was having a freak-out pregnancy moment (for her SECOND set of twins, nonetheless).  Talk to her--I am sure she will work with you, like she's working with us.  I appreciate her being upfront about the whole thing.  I'm sure it would be an issue for some people, but not us at all.  We are soooo looking forward to having her, and she was very appreciative of us for making it work for her, too.

Good luck :-)  Keep me posted or PM me if you have any questions.

M & M Photo! I would take the deposit back and look at the mandmphotosonline.com. They're extremely affordable and you get all the rights to your pictures as well. That's who we're using because I really liked that as well!

Thank you LRPJ. I did decide to stay with her because she just seems like she has the best, awsomest (that a word :) ) personality and I love her pictures. I wanted to stay with her anyways but I was worried she didn't want to do it anymore and was just trying to be nice. I didn't want to put her in a position where she felt stuck so I wanted her to make the decision over me. :) I am going to do the same thing with my schedule, working in breaks. One of my bridesmaids will be pumping too. I understand completely where she is coming from and don't want to miss out on her. You had your engagement pics taken by her? She is doing ours in August. I LOVE all her engagement pics! Thank you for the reassurance!!! When is your wedding? I can't wait to see more of her wedding pics.

YAY!!! So happy to hear it all worked out!  I really appreciated her being upfront with everything, and after getting our engagement pictures back (in 5 days, might I add--she's quick!), we reallllllly wanted to stick with her, too!
