Hairpiece

I just bought my dress. The bridal assistant picked out a veil and headband that matched perfectly to my dress. I love the veil but not so sure i want the headband. I plan on wearing my hair half up and half down. My dress is such a princess dress that i think i want a tiaira, but i havent seen anyone wear one lately, have any of you worn one or plan to? I dont want it to look stupid.

  • I as just at a wedding this past weekend where the bride wore a tiara. I am not, but I hope to have some kind of blingy comb.

  • I think it depends on the tiara. If it's small and simple it's fine. If it's really high and a true princess tiara it's going to look funny.

  • Go to a store and try on a bunch of things. I seriously roll my eyes are women who wear tiaras of any kind to their weddings, I just think they are costumey.
  • I am personally not a fan of tiaras on brides.  They remind me of a kid's dress up party.

  • I have a tiara I'm wearing and I'm wearing my hair half up half down. It looked really nice during the hair trial. I'm wearing one because the venue is a castle, plus I have a princessy dress, too. I would try on both styles in the store and tie half of your hair back to see which you'd like best. I don't see anything wrong with wearing a tiara. But, then again, I don't often judge people over small petty things like that. There's more important things in the world to worry about. If you like it, get it!

I agree-- there are so many options out there for the "princess effect" without going tiara. Blingy combs or bejeweled flowers are good with a variety of hairstyles.
