No but my company has our parties there twice a year and it'a really nice facility. I was considering it as a reception venue too, as I am looking to do an outdoor reception.  The only problem I see is it's kind of out in the middle of nowhere and most of our friends and family are from central columbus.  I am not sure where out of town guests would stay etc.  Let me know what you find out!

Well, I emailed the lady and am going to set up an appointment for this weekend, so I will let you know how that goes.

But, as far as hotels etc. I actually live in Pickerington and there are hotels in Pickerington that guest could stay at! We are only about 15 minutes from downtown and 20 from Easton.

I looked at HIckory Lakes but we opted not to have our reception there.

    Pros
    - "Rustic" feel (LOVED this)
    - Outdoor patio with a fireplace
    - Bring in your own caterer
    - Rental fee was pretty reasonable (but I don't remember what it was...)

    Cons
    - Have to purchase your alcohol/other drinks through them
    - Out in the middle of nowhere, gravel roads lead back to the hall
    - The bathrooms were pretty bad - this was the dealbreaker for us.  I didn't want to be in my gown and have to use the restrooms there.  It's been 1.5 years since I was there, so maybe something's changed since then....

    Hope that helps!

We had an appointment there. It's got a rustic vibe and is pretty laid back, which I liked. There are two buildings, one smaller and older, one bigger and newer. I liked the bigger and newer one. Ultimately we didn't pursue it because it was pretty far out there, and I didn't like how the costs are broken up (it just feels like you're getting nickeled and dimed everywhere, although it was a reasonable price).

Hehe, I live in Pickerington too and never thought it was 'out there' =).

I checked it out and had an appointment there.  I too liked the rustic feel and was rather surprised at the overall appearance given the website hasn't been updated in forever and the photos were very grainy.  I do think they broke up the cost quite a bit and it was getting a little pricy, plus I didn't see the restrooms.  That's a good thing to check out now that I think about it.

I will say given what I did saw and the price quote I received, I probably would have greatly considered this facility, especially if I hadn't already gone to see the one I decided on.  I already had my heart set when I saw Hickory Lakes.
