Wedding Gown Designer Recommendations

I have a tiny budget for my wedding dress. I love lace straps and details but I'm allergic to several of the synthetics fabrics, cheaper lines like David's uses in their gowns. Does anyone have any recommendations for inexpensive wedding dress brands that still use high quality fabrics or a good place to find samples?

  • Weddings 826 in Chicago or Wedding Belles in Barrington are great places for sample dresses
  • Check out Crystal Bride in Geneva. I bought my dress from there and they had several I was choosing from. They have a pretty good range of prices- nothing over $3,000.

  • Try Here Comes the Bride in Addison. I was very adamant that my dress be under $1000, and they were awesome. Rose, the woman who owns the store, helped me find not one but two dresses I fell in love with. It was tough to pick just one! My dress is Mori Lee, who tends to be very reasonably priced with great quality. The Bridal Boutique in Naperville is also a great place for samples. It's small with a limited selection, but she's always getting new stuff in from local stores, so keep trying. A friend of mine just got her dress there for a great deal. Good luck!
  • I went to various bridal salons in the Chicagoland area and fell in love with the Allure 8859.  I ended up ordering from netbride.com.  They were able to price match.  I paid no taxes and shipping was free.  I just got my dress two weeks ago, which was two months in advance.  I had such a good experience with Netbride that I just placed my bridesmaid dress order with them.
