Khaki/sand colored tuxes

Hey girls, I need help.

I recently decided that I want my FI and the GMs to wear khaki or sand colored tuxes because we are having a beach wedding. Here is the dilemma.

My FI's brother and best friend live in Missouri. They need to be able to rent the tux too, out there, and get measured and all before the wedding. And the only place I can find that is around here, and around there, is Men's Wearhouse, since they bought out After Hours which used to be another option. And MW only carries white, black, grey, and brown tuxes.

So do you guys #1 know a place that even carries that color tuxes to RENT, and #2 has anyone had a similar problem with long distance GMs that need tuxes. Is it possible to get a place here that is locally owned and operated and then have the guys get measured somewhere else and call in their measurements (and then pray the day of that everything fits correctly)? They won't be in town until the wedding weekend.

I guess I could settle, if I had to, with black tuxes, I just think khaki would look wayyy better on the beach.

Help! TIA.

Kahki tuxes are REALLY hard to find because there isn't much of a market for them.  You might have a better time trying to find tan suits rather than tuxes.  They tend to be available in the spring around Easter time.  When is you wedding?  If you get the suits at a place like Kohl's, then the price of the suit will be about equal to the cost to rent a tux.

As another option, have you thought about having the grooms men in sport jackets.  I have seen some nice pictures of a previuos knotties nautical themed wedding where the guys wore Kahki pants, White dress shirts and Navy Blue blazers.  (I can't remember who it was now!)  Since jacket sizes are pretty standard, and don't need to be fitted iit would be WAY easier for you to have them be measured just for the jacket.  Tell theme to bring there own Kahki Pants and White shirt and you can provide the blazer (either rented or bought) and the tie.

I agree with the previous post... it may be hard to find a tux that color.  You many want to look at suits, I really like the blazer idea.

I have seen many beach weddings where the guys wear khakis/linen pants and just a white button down.  No jacket.  That may be another option.  All the guys could wear that or just the groomsmen and have your FI wear a suit.  But I would talk it over with the guys and get their opinions as they are the ones who will be wearing whatever is decided.

I agree with you, I think khaki/tan looks a lot better for beach weddings.  Beach weddings are considered a little more casual so I think that color looks better than a formal black tux.

    Good Luck!

Umm, didn't really ask you opinion. Asked where I could find them. But thanks for being rude.

And the only thing that makes a lot of tuxes "tuxes" nowadays is the vest and cumberbund. Most people don't rent tuxes with tails like they used to do. They rent things that look like suits, except add a few extras. So I provided a picture of a TUX, from Jim's Formalwear, with no vest and instead just a tie. So thank you, it is a tux.

And just to really prove you wrong, because I feel the need to, here is the link:
