NEW! Cape May Brides

The other post was old and lengthy, so I decided to make a new post for the future Cape May Brides out there!  I am getting married June 28, 2012 at Congress Hall in Cape May.  I have yet to book anything else!  Anyone recommend any photographers and DJs/bands?  Look forward to chatting with you all on here!

    Oh yay! The old sticky is great, but so long now! We are getting married on October 15th of this year. It is feeling very close and real now! Our ceremnon is outside in CM Point and then the reception is going to be at the Hotel Alcott. We are so excited! We currently live in Ocean City but are moving to Cape May at the end of this month. We met in CM and now we'll be getting married and living there, so lots of sentimental atachement to this town.

    We are not doing a DJ - FI is putting together a few playlists (cockatail hr, dinner, dancing, etc.). He's been taking requests and it's been fun seeing all the things people have texted us!

    Our good friend Scott is doing our photos - lucky for us he is a professional photographer! His website is scottwhittle.com if you want to check him out - can't recommend him enough!

    Our cake is coming from OC Cake Studio - occakestudio.com - and they are fantastic! They are located in Ocean City, but no delivery charge to CM. Their cake is redic delcious! It's def on the procey side, but cake is one of the things I wanted to splurge on so we are! They came up with a great design, we are having 4 flavors and I am super excited!

    Who else is a CM bride? What are your plans?

    Wow you are almost there!  Hope other people start to reply to this post.  I'm not too far in the planning process.  I love the idea of getting requests from other guests of the songs to be played.  The Hotel Alcott is beautiful!  Thank you for all of your vendor info!

    I'm getting married in Stone Harbor, but it's basically Cape May :)  We're tying the not on September 22, 2012 and I can't tell you how excited I am!

    does anyone know of an inexpensive cape may venue.  i am trying to find something for around 80 pp all inclusive.

    Hey not to be noisy but Im thinking about having my wedding at the Alcott. I am planning on having about 50 people. And if you dont mind would you be able to help me with an estimate per person. I been calling, emailing and still have not heard back. thanks so much and good luck!!!!

    Hi!

    I'm another Cape May bride, 9/15/12 at the Corinthian Yacht Club.  Price is about $70-90pp.  A more casual venue than some of the hotels, but that is what we loved about it, and its on the harbour so very nice water views! 

    I'm really looking for help with recs on bands and photographers at the moment that won't break the bank.  $2000-4000 for band and $2000 ish for photog. 

    Help please!  Can't wait to hear more, and happy planning!

    RMHRosa:  Did you get any recommendations on bands/DJs?  I am not from the area so this is the toughest choice for me....

    I am also a CYCM bride as well! (9/22/12).  My family has been going to Cape May since my mother was young and my grandparents used to be year-round residents so it like a second home for me.  
    I booked Tina Markhoe as my Photog--I met her and love her energy and her photojournalistic style of photography.  Definitely check her site and book her early--she is very in demand.  SHe has flexible packages to chose from/create.

    Our band is the B-street band--we love them and they were fairly afordable compared to some of the "wedding only" bands out there.  If you aren't familiar, check out there site as well.  They are mostly known for Springsteen covers, but do a lot more.
    Does anyone have recommendations for Hair/makeup/cakes/florists?

    I just inquired about cycm today . Are they quick to respond? What was the rental fee? It said aprox 22 a person? I'm looking for June 15, 2013
