Direction Cards

I'm making our invites and want to make the direction cards to match. The ceremony is at the same location as the reception. My question is - How many sets of directions do I need? Just to the ceremony/reception location? To the OOT hotel? From the OOT hotel to the ceremony? (there will be a shuttle)

I'm probably over-thinking this, but I'm curious which directions are normally included.

Hotels normally give you direction cards when you book the block, so you won't need to get those printed. I think just direction cards to the ceremony would be fine.

I agree with SMW - we printed our own invites, but we used the direction cards that our venue had provided. We felt that there was no reason to reinvent the wheel and re-do something that was done for us.

That said, the hotel gave directions from the nearest airport and major highways.

I want everything to match. So I will do 1 card with directions on both sides to both the hotel and then to the reception hall.

I would say directions to both the ceremony/reception location and hotel. This way if guests want to check into the hotel prior to the ceremony they will have directions to it. They will also know how to get to the ceremony/reception location.

Thanks, guys. This is pretty much what I had thought. I want everything to match, too (like Danes) so even though the hotel and reception hall have cards for me- I'll redo them. I'd rather go through the extra work of redoing them than have them be not matchy.

Just make sure you don't leave any information off of the pre-printed ones. As a guest I'd rather get to my destination then have matching cards that get me lost.
